Privacy Policy

LotSync is operated by LotSyncai, based in Bloomington, Illinois. We provide a service that helps car dealerships publish and manage their vehicle inventory on Facebook Marketplace.

When you apply for a free trial or create an account, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and phone number.
• Your dealership name and dealership website address.
• Your password, stored only as a secure hash.

Once your dealership is connected, we collect:

• Vehicle inventory data published on your dealership website. This includes VIN, year, make, model, trim, price, mileage, colors, body style, engine, transmission, fuel type, mpg, features, photos, and listing links.
• Edits you make in your LotSync dashboard, such as price, mileage, photo order, and listing descriptions.
• Billing status, such as whether your dealership is on a free trial or an active subscription. We never receive or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Stripe.
• Messages you send through Contact Support.

The extension works alongside your LotSync account. It sends the following to our servers, and to nowhere else:

• Your email and password when you sign in. The password is used only to sign you in and is not stored by the extension. A session token is kept in your browser's extension storage; it lasts 14 days, and signing out removes it along with everything else described here.
• Details of your Marketplace listings, read from your own "Your listings" page: title, price, status, the date listed, the click count Marketplace reports, and the address of the listing's thumbnail image. This page is visible only to you, and it may include listings you created without LotSync. We use it to show analytics and to avoid posting the same vehicle twice.
• Confirmation of each posting, so your dashboard stays current.
• Vehicle details you type into the extension when a vehicle is missing something a listing requires, such as price, mileage, colour, fuel type or location. These update your LotSync inventory so you are not asked again.
• Error reports when something goes wrong: the error, the step that failed, the vehicle's VIN, the extension's own activity log for that posting, the extension version, and your browser version. Error reports never contain your password, your session token, cookies, or the contents of any web page.

The extension runs on two Marketplace pages only: the vehicle listing form, which it fills in, and your own listings page, which it reads. It does not read your browsing history, your messages, or any other website.

Our use of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use the information we collect to:

• Review free trial applications and set up your account.
• Sync your inventory and provide your dashboard and analytics.
• Send transactional emails about syncs, trials, billing, and support.
• Provide support and respond to your messages.
• Maintain the security of accounts and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your dealership data for advertising.

The LotSync website uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic interface preferences. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not use third party tracking on the website.

We share information only with the providers needed to run LotSync:

• Stripe, which processes subscription payments on our behalf.
• Our email delivery provider, which sends transactional email.
• Our hosting and database providers, which store and serve account and inventory data.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LotSyncai, our customers, or others.

Transactional notifications are sent from our notification domain, notify.lotsyncai.com. These include sync summaries, trial status, payment receipts, and support replies. You can contact support@lotsyncai.com to adjust which notifications you receive.

We keep account and inventory data for as long as your dealership uses LotSync. If your account ends, we may keep billing records as required by law and remove inventory data on request. Ask support@lotsyncai.com to delete your account data and we will confirm once it is done. Error reports from the Chrome extension are kept for 90 days. Marketplace listing snapshots are kept for as long as your account is open, or until you ask us to delete them.

• You can update your account details in your dashboard.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page.
• You can request deletion of your account and data by email.
